About
Hannah Berhane
I'm a fully qualified therapist with over 17 years’ experience. I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
My experience includes, working for the NHS running CBT based workshops on anxiety and depression for adults; counselling young people (at YMCA); Survivors of Suicide; Sexual assault and Rape (SARC). I also work as a family mediator, mediating between young people and their family members.
Having lived and worked in different countries I am culturally sensitive when assessing how best to support you. I will support you with whatever the issue without judgment.
Over the years I have specialised in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a powerful therapy designed to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives. EMDR is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
